Hey, I’m Laci and welcome to Laci Jean Photography!
I’m a photographer based in Ontario who’s usually somewhere between the sidelines, the action, and the exact moment everything happens.
I specialize in sports, portraits, and event photography, with a focus on capturing real energy and emotion instead of overly posed shots. Whether it’s a game-winning play, a quiet portrait moment, or the chaos of a live event, I’m all about freezing moments that actually feel alive when you look back at them.
I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside my high school Athletics Union, photographing all of our school sports teams and learning how to anticipate fast-paced action in real time. That experience has pushed me to move quickly, think creatively, and never miss the moment that matters.
I’m also a two-time first-place winner in the Skills Ontario qualifying competition for my school board, and I placed 27th out of 54 competitors across Ontario last year. I’ll be competing again this May, continuing to build my skills and push my work further.
Alongside that, I’ve entered local photography fairs and earned two first-place awards for my work—experiences that have helped shape my style and confidence behind the camera.
For me, photography isn’t just about taking pictures—it’s about telling stories people can actually feel.
